Meet me!

Who am I?  First and most importantly, I am a single mom to 3 wonderful (most of the time) kids.  One boy and two girls.  Ages 17, 15, and 3.  I know.  What the heck was I thinking with that last one?  Some days I’m not sure, either.  🙂

I work full time out of the home.  I mom full time. I try and be as present as possible in my children’s lives.  After all, I do kind of like them and want to hang out.

In my desire to be as present as possible for them I’ve sometimes had to get a little “creative” with the finances, among other things.  Sometimes that creativity means one kid was lucky enough to get a COMPLETELY DIY PINTEREST INSPIRED BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!

Way more exciting to me than my teenagers.  Especially since as hard as I try, my DIY is usually more of a DI-don’t.  I might bless you with the joy of admiring some of my handiwork, however, I’m going to save that for the rare special occasion.

Where I have really blossomed in my creativity is my ability earn a little extra cash on the side.  I’ve tried every online gimmick to make money.  Trust me.  ALL OF THEM.  I know what works.  I know what doesn’t.  I know what works, but is a huge pain in the rear so you probably don’t want to do it.

Join me as I relive my trials and errors, and try out some new ideas along the way.  I hope that you enjoy reading along with me, learn a little, and laugh a lot.

Let’s get our side hustle on!

Let’s Get Started

Cash.  Money.  Moola.  Dinero.

Whatever you want to call it, we all want some more of it, right?  Well, lucky you!  I’m going to teach you how!

I’m not going to promise that you are going to get rich.

I just want to share some tips that normal, regular people can use to start earning a little Cash On The Side.

One of the first programs that I tried out is Swagbucks.  Swagbucks also happens to be one of my favorites for some quick gift card earning potential.

The basic premise of Swagbucks is super simple.  You sign up with some basic demographic information.  There are also several apps that you can use to earn on the go.

After signing up you are going to want to start earning points right away.  Points can be traded for an entire slew of ever-changing gift cards.  I happen to be a fan of Amazon gift cards.  You can get pretty much anything you need delivered in 2 days with Amazon Prime.

In my opinion the fastest way to earn point on Swagbucks is answering the “Gold Survey” questions.  Some of these surveys can be upwards of 500 points.

You can also earn points in multiple other ways.

  • Purchasing items through the Swagbucks store front
  • Answering a short daily survey
  • Opening emails
  • Watching short videos
  • Participating in ads
  • Signing up for trial offers
  • Playing games on your mobile device

Personally, I like to bank my points and cash them all in right before Christmas.  It makes shopping for the kids just a little less painful when I’m using free gift cards that I’ve earned.

Go ahead! Click on one of the hyperlinks above and try it out!  What have you got to lose?
